Of course, Mark belongs in the pantheon of house music, right there with greats like Frankie Knuckles, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, etc. He was, essentially, the first artist to really combine hip hop with electronic music, with the first early iterations of Mushroom Jazz in late 80s Chicago.
He’s busier than ever this year, playing everything from a Mushroom Jazz monthly at Monarch in San Francisco to EDC Las Vegas – taking his amalgamation of jazz, hip hop, and house worldwide.
