EDCLV 20 was filled with a plethora of beautiful moments, incredible memories, and surprises yet again. The second decade send off of Insomniac’s pride n’ joy truly was truly a site to behold, and every artists there brought their “A” game to make that a reality. Marshmello in particular, pull out all the stops…and his helmet.

One of the hottest new acts on the scene, Marshmello’s anonymity has long been under attack as people clamor and cry, snoop high and low, and hire private investigators to discover his identity. It seems he just had enough. Truth be told the moment he took of his helmet and revealed his identity eclipsed the glory of the entirety of EDC itself; as he lifted his helmet you could almost see the glow of holiness and grandeur seep through…because it has in fact…been Tijs Michiel Verwest. Tiësto.

It’s official folks. The jig is up. The secret is out. Tiesto left his trance background for house music years ago, and didn’t change his name and look what’s happened! Of course it makes sense to operate under a new moniker to make some the most infectious, grimy, heavy electro/future around. Brilliant marketing move team Tiësto. Hats off to you guys, ya had us all fooled.

In all reality though, he played an incredible set, an excellent EDC debut, filled with special guests, including Ookay, Skrillex, and Martin Garrix.

In the end. “Tiesto” had some pretty special words to say, something that we should take with us as we go forward dancing to Marshmello and his tunes:

Editor’s Note: The above story is written in what we consider satire. Of course Tiesto isn’t Marshmello, c’mon guys.
