Toronto duo NuAlias has quickly become one of the most musically eccentric acts coming up in the undergound scene right now. Throwing away all disregard for the boundaries of genres, the pair continue to fuse together a unique concoction of breaks, techno, electro and terrorizing mid-tempo oh so beautifully to further establish their unique “NuGarageFunkWave” sound. Fresh off their release on Audophile titled “Nox”, they return to Uprise Music, one of the first labels to champion them.
Black Diamond is a thrashing bass heavy breaks/techno hybrid that boils and bursts with each strike of the bass. Synths pulsate heavily throughout the track, slapping you on the face. This cut places a heavy focus on overall musical tenacity and tension-building in true NuAlias fashion. The beautiful thing about their style is that no two tracks sound remotely similar.
