Kyau & Albert – 7 Skies (Solid Stone Remix)
Solid Stone, a Canadian trance DJ, has been making waves in the trance world since as early as 2010 and has been supported by some of the best acts in the scene, such as Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond. He recently released this remix of Kyau & Albert‘s “7 Skies” on Soundcloud and it’s already been featured on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy podcast.
The remix’s opening retains the original’s ambient vibe while Solid Stone’s combination of ethereal loops as well as percussive synthesizers add another layer of depth to the track that makes it infectiously bouncy.
The build of the track is riddled with syncopation and the pounding triplet theme culminates into a drop that is founded on the rhythmic diversity of the main theme. The main synth juxtaposed against the kick brings out the inherent syncopation in the track. This remix is a great combination of trance and progressive house characteristics – check it out here:
