The Size boss is back on BBC Radio One. For his first episode of 2016, Steve Angello brought a special guest in the form of mysterious new duo Magic Sword. Steve is coming off the release of his debut album Wild Youth, which features a more mature sound from the former Swedish House Mafia member. Songs do not feature the usual big room sound we’ve heard in previous singles like “Payback“, “SLVR” and “Lights“. He went back to a more mellow progressive style and sprinkled some ‘back-to-the-basics’ house as well. His first episode of 2016 was no different, as he brought us almost two hours of house, techno and more.
The mix features tracks from Dusky, Nicky Romero, Tom Staar and many more. Magic Sword also played a few of their songs, which feature a distinct electronic style that consists of prominent electric guitar riffs. Check out Steve Angello’s BBC Radio 1 residency (along with the tracklist) below.
