Monster Energy Center of Gravity moves to Wasaga Beach

Wasaga Beach welcomes Canada’s hottest beach festival, Monster Energy Center of Gravity (MECOG), August 19th – 21st. Originally from Kelowna, British Columbia, Center of Gravity is in its 9th year and is expanding to Ontario for the first time. Hosted by Wet Ape Productions and Live Nation, MECOG is a unique mix of high adrenaline sports, sandy beaches, and top EDM, hip hop, and live musical acts.

Professional and semi-professional athletes will compete in skateboarding, BMX, motocross, wake boarding and wake skating while amateurs are welcome to register for the beach volleyball and beach dodgeball tournaments that take place throughout the weekend. There is also a Coors Light Game Zone that will feature a ton of ridiculous and exciting games for all of the festival goers to enjoy.

According to their website the lineup will be released soon as well as information about ticket sales. For now we’ll just have to enjoy the promo video below:

“Wasaga Beach is a perfect fit for MECOG. The festival is meant to be an escape from the city to a beach town, for a weekend packed with high energy sports, day cabanas, lakeside house music, sunset headliner performances, and shared memories with likeminded people. It’s hard to find a better location than Wasaga Beach to create the MECOG experience.” – Festival Founder, Scott Emslie
