Miami Music Week will always be known as one of biggest, spotlight events to attend in the electronic music world. Over the years, MMW has been the place where all artists, big and small and of various genres, take their talents to the stage and bring out their best performances. Not only is this week to see some standout sets, but also one of the biggest gatherings of every facet of the scene – from artists to fans to music labels and more. This is the place to be if you’re looking for the next big thing in music. In order to bring everyone together, a staggering amount of parties will be thrown that will be shaking up South Beach for the entire week. Spotify, one of the lead music streaming platforms, has just announced a collaborative addition with Proximity and The District to create two of the most popular events of the week.
The first party of the weekend, PLAYLiST MIAMI, is day-long endeavor at the National Hotel on Friday, March 18th. Spotify’s electroNOW and Proximity will be hosting heavy-duty artists like Ghastly, Destructo, Tritonal, Ephwurd, and a special gue5t (deadmau5???). The lineup is also scattered with a lot of secret B2Bs with little clues as to who might be joining the party.
As a follow up to such a hyped-up first night, Spotify will then be teaming up with The District to thrown down a free party on Saturday, March 19 at the 1Hotel that fits perfectly with the beachside mood of the week. Featuring a number of deep house artists, this party presents another fantastic lineup of great acts, such as an Above & Beyond Anjunadeep set and numerous B2Bs between artists like Two Friends, EDX, Gryffin, and Pierce Fulton. And don’t worry if you feel like you are missing out if you can’t attend these two events – both parties will be livestreamed!
