SNBRN – Gangsta Walk feat. Nate Dogg
SNBRN has dropped a real treat for us today, finally unveiling the hotly anticipated original new single, ‘Gangsta Walk‘. If you’ve been a fan of SNBRN, you were probably aware that he had this one in his pocket – he’s played it out a handful of times over the past 8 months or so, beginning at CRSSD last spring. The story behind this track is amazing – a true watershed moment for the marriage of hip hop and house music. The top line used in this track is an unreleased top line from Nate Dogg, the legendary rapper who more or less pioneered west coast rap.
In this case, it is a true original song, however, and not a remix – an interesting point. Apparently, SNBRN and management were able to solidify a deal to acquiring full rights to the never before released verse from Nate Dogg’s estate. The result is a boisterous and dance floor ready house track that beautifully melds the worlds of house music and hip hop for a 2016 audience. Check out ‘Gangsta Walk’ below.
