The first edition of Okeechobee Festival will definitely be one for the books, as the festival will host electronic goliath’s Skrillex, RL Grime and Bassnectar, in addition to Kendrick Lamar, Mumford & Sons and Mac Miller. As if the lineup wasn’t enticing enough, Okeechobee will be introducing Jungle 51– an all-night techno and house stage, to their 2016 lineup.
Okeechobee Festival characterizes Jungle 51 as “landing spot for the outer reaches of the galaxy”. The stage will commence at sunset, and operate into the hours of the early morning. Behind the stage design is Bonnaroo’s Daniel Brodie, with lighting conceptualized by Max Mackintosh. Jungle 51 will feature artists such as Damian Lazarus, Max Jacobson, Orazio Rispo and Derrick May.
