Resident Advisor Announces Results For 2015 Top 100 DJ Poll

The Resident Advisor poll has been released for 2015 and to the average fan, these names might be a mystery. But for the heads of the house and techno underground, these names are well versed and almost infallible. There aren’t tireless vote snag campaigns at festivals with crews walking around with iPads, attempting to garnish a quick signature. Just a quick social media post.

(#21) Richie Hawtin, (#31) Joris Voorn and (#58) Lee Burridge, all pioneers in their own right, are farther down the list with some other notables Maya Jane Coles, tINI and the Black Madonna amongst others representing strongly the growing force of women in the electronic music community. Rounding out the top five are Jackmaster, who, being just a disc jockey, shows that the art of DJing is still being recognized and encouraged, Ben UFO, Tale of Us and Maceo Plex.

Happening for the first time ever in the Resident Advisor poll’s history, a DJ has won the coveted award three straight years. Dixon. With his expertise behind the decks, his production prowress on point, his Innvervisions record label and the parties associated with it, he has built a loyal fan base, that in the end, it isn’t really surprising that he has achieved a hat trick the likes the DJ Mag Top 100 experienced a few years ago when Armin van Buuren won the award a coveted four straight times.
