EDC Orlando Gives New Meaning to Dancing Under The Electric Sky

While the weather has taken its toll on too many music festivals this year, leading to the cancellation of some of our favorite fests, Mother Nature seemed to smile down upon this weekend’s Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando. With near perfect weather on the first day of the festival, excitement was boiling over for the second day, which featured incredible acts like Bassnectar, Kaskade, and Alison Wonderland. However, looming over EDCO day 2 was an ever-changing forecast, which at one point predicted thunderstorms throughout the night. Around 10:30 P.M., as the Insomniac team prepared to move attendees under cover, the large storm pattern that was moving over Orlando split directly in the middle, narrowly, and completely, avoiding the festival. In post on his Facebook page, Pasquale Rotella explained that the storm split in half, missing the venue by 15 miles to the right and left of the Kinetic Field. Thankfully, Insomniac’s photographers were able to capture the incredible event, as festival goers literally danced under the electric sky.
