Club Fire Protests Lead Romanian PM to Resign

A few days ago we told you about a devastating fire that broke out at a club in Bucharest, that led to numerous fatalities and widespread outrage. Besides Markus Schulz calling on all DJs to avoid pyrotechnics at club shows, the people of Romania continued their own protest and outrage. The club’s promoters were arrested and enormous protests have broken out, in fact they are the largest protests there since the fall of Communism.

The protests grew so serious that Romania’s Prime Minister Victor Ponta is bowing to the will of the people and resigning his post. Now it is not immediately apparent if the entire uproar was solely due to the club fire, but the results are astounding either way. Stay tuned to this rapidly changing situation in Romania.
