Above & Beyond Tease Acoustic Track “Hello”

Above & Beyond recently announced their Acoustic II tour, the follow up to the immensely successful and tear-jerking three date journey comprising a night at the Porchester Hall in London and two others at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. This time around, the trio have expanded on the acoustic idea. A lot. Starting off by opening the tour at the revered Royal Albert Hall, where greats like David Gilmour and the Killers have given phenomenal performances, they’ve added ten dates in all. Two New York City shows, a repeat at the Greek Theatre along with a debut at the Hollywood Bowl plus a few others including Hawaii and Sydney, Australia.

However, that’s not all. On Monday, Above & Beyond posted a snippet of their latest offering from their acoustic lab, “Hello”. Already being featured in the 2016 Acoustic II trailer on YouTube, the acoustic guitar rift that has been created sounds like it was derived from a Pink Floyd track. This is the first acoustic tune produced by the trio that doesn’t feature any lyrical content. However, some lyrics from “Peace of Mind” pop up, seemingly putting it in the same format from a track on the Acoustic I album, Satelitte / Stealing Time, which complemented each other perfectly. However, we will have to wait and see to find out. Regardless, the sprinkling of lighter percussive and instrumental melodies is always a breath of fresh air and this beauty is no different.
