Robin Schulz – Sugar (EDX’s Ibiza Sunrise Remix)

Robin Schulz – Sugar (EDX’s Ibiza Sunrise Remix)

There is a reason why EDX is considered by many to be an authority in the dance music community. His lengthy career is not only an impressive feat for a genre as fickle as dance music, but he has also managed to stay at the forefront of the scene with his consistently quality productions and his evolved sound. This summer has been an eye-opening experience for many, as EDX defied the odds on his way to putting out two stellar productions, a remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love” that dominated the charts and a remix of Spada’s “Catchfire (Sun Sun Sun)” that is still climbing the Beatport charts. Now, the Swiss-based producer is closing out the summer on a high note with his “Ibiza Sunrise” remix of Robin Schulz’s “Sugar.”

Sampling Baby Bash’s 2003 classic, “Suga Suga,” “Sugar” is smooth, soulful, and sultry all in one. Schulz crafts a silky bass line and bubbly bass line underneath Francesco Yates’ croons, but on his remix, EDX takes “Sugar” to the dance floor, infusing the tune with a punchy bass line and synth stabs that gives the track a deep groove.
