A few times a year, Monstercat releases an album filled with a wide range of tracks from their killer discography. Their 23rd installment of such release is called ‘Voyages’ as they seek to travel across their wide catalogue of diverse talent in order to showcase to you what they can do. With just over thirty songs on the album, it can be a daunting task to sift through all of them and find the gems your ears are craving. So on that note, we at EDMTunes have once again compiled out top 5 favorite tracks and made a list for you. So check them out below, and be sure to support Monstercat Records.

1) Varien – Supercell (feat. Veela):

Varien has been on our radar for some time now. His unique production skills have brought us countless ambient, house, along with many other styles of tunes. Being able to crank out tracks that are as musical as they are dance floor ready easily places Varien in our top picks for this album.

2) Laszlo – Closer:

Laszlo constantly pushes the boundaries with every one of his releases. Being able to release an electro powerhouse of a tune one week, and then quickly turn around and follow up with an uplifting progressive house tune such as ‘Closer’ is no small feat. We are always happy to support his work, which is why closer has earned a well deserved spot among our top 5 picks.

3) Droptek – Colossus:

Its a sad day when high quality Drum n Bass tunes are becoming a rarity on the music scene. But Droptek stands out among the other producers in the uptempo dance music scene by staying true to the DnB form, while still breathing new life into such a timeless genre. Mixing powerful sound design and pushing the limits of the modern day producer, ‘Colossus’ definitely has earned its place on our top 5 picks.

4) Subtact – Restart:

It wouldn’t be a Monstercat compilation with some kind of Future Bass or Hip-hop heavy tune, and Subtact is there to deliver in fine form. His hit track, ‘Restart’, landed a place on our top 5 because of its anthemic swagger that can easily bring a smile to your face. Uplifting melodies ride over the top of some slamming breakbeat percussions, and Subtract is truly one to push the envelop and songwriting of this style like nobody else can.

5) WRLD – Chase It (feat. Savoi):

Last but certainly not least is the WRLD track ‘Chase It’. Sitting somewhere between anthemic progressive house and laid back disco, this tune is perfect for any listening environment. Uplifting chord progressions tie in perfectly with the sing along aspect of the vocals, which is why we’ve had the tune on repeat.

So those are the tunes that made the final cut for us over at EDMTunes.
