Jack Novak – If It Kills Me (feat. blackbear)
It’s been quite a while since we wrote about Jack Novak. Not since she released ‘Desert Snow’ back in 2013 – and even then we were talking about her “two year hibernation” before releasing the track. But now, it’s another evolution. ‘If It Kills Me‘ takes on a lighter house vibe, creating accessibility for the newcomers who have yet heard of Jack and make it easier for other DJs to sample and drop the tracks right in the middle of their sets. Instead of finding ourselves with her beats in the clubs, we’re now staying up to see the sunset at some beach or boardwalk or festival. It’s just a different sound each time and the periods of wait time between new releases give us a better idea of how much she grows as an artist.
