[Video] Tiësto Explains How a 15-Second Snapchat Ended up Winning Him a Grammy

In 2014, Tiësto took home a Grammy award for best remixed recording, non classical, for his rework of John Legend‘s ‘All of Me’. The track was one of the biggest dance tunes of 2014, being played by artists such as Oliver Heldens, Avicii, Gareth Emery, and 3LAU. When ‘All of Me’ won the award, it beat out out Ming’s remix of Falling Out, Audien’s remix of Pompeii, Eddie Amador’s remix of The Rising, Kaskade’s remix of Smile, and Robin Schulz’s remix of Waves.

As part of a video blog series, Tiesto had a chance to talk about the song that won him his first Grammy award. More specifically, he talks about what the song means to him, and how honored he was to have John Legend ask to make his remix an ‘official remix’. It had been 6 years since Tiesto’s last Grammy nomination: Best Electronic/Dance Album, Elements of Life (2008).
