Recently graduating high school at the age of 18, and representing the best from the state of Wyoming, Jeffrey Melvin, better known as Melvv, has been rising rapidly in popularity over the the past year since his inception in 2009. With his free future-style original track ‘Vibe‘ and his progressive track ‘Glide‘ awarding him thousands of followers in short periods of time, he continues to build his name showing true versatility with his unique genre-blending style of music.
This one begins with a beautiful vinyl textured piano bit, immediately followed by a solid beat while the captivating vocals of Oh Wonder soar above. Melvv makes excellent use of rhodes and detuned saw-based chords combined to form the driving force of the track while he sprinkles in melodic percussion here and there creating an incredibly immersive feeling drawing in the listener. With such mastery of his own unique style, it would be wise to keep a look out for what’s next from Melvv in the near future.
