Hudson Mohawke –Â Very First Breath [Boys Noize Turbine Mix]
With yet another successful month of releases, the German sensation, Boys Noize, continues to wow his fans with a constant stream of premium techno bliss. His sample-based analog style of music is known far and wide, partly due to an amped up techno-themed group with Skrillex, code named Dog Blood; the if and when of that project’s return is unknown, but they recently released a thrilling 7am DJ set on SoundCloud of their epic performance at Monegros hinting at an exciting return. In the meantime, we’ll just have to enjoy Boys Noize on his own, with this remix of Hudson Mohawke’s, ‘Very First Breath’.
Starting off the action right away with a lush repetition of Daft Punk inspired phased chords, characteristic of Boys Noize, and a tight break-style beat underneath, an exciting rendition of chopped vocals from Irfane grabs your attention leading to the bass line. Having a fluid/uplifting chord progression and creating a more techno/sample based feel in most of his tracks, Boys Noize manages to create yet another incredibly groovy remix unique in its own right.
