Skymatic – Azerbaijan (Intergalactic Bootleg)
Well this one came out of nowhere. Skymatic, building hype for their Remix Tape, that’s coming not soon enough apparently. I will be paying attention to this duo from Atlanta. Melodic heavy hip hop/dubstep beats, but the violin work is totally on point. This is the kind of fusion I keep banging on about EDM needing to get into. These genre combinations are going to create some insanely beautiful sounds, especially as we start pouring the global vibes on. I didn’t know Azerbaijan had folk music that you could mix with Beastie Boys lyrics. Now I’m going to just start throwing Eastern European folk music & hip hop together on YouTube. This stuff is fantastic, it’s a free download & over all too soon.
