Up-and-coming Los Angeles based duo,
Rad Stereo, is back with an impressive take on the classic
Outkast track, ‘
SpottieOttieDopaliscious‘, with Spencer Ludwig of
Capital Cities providing some instrumental support. Rad Stereo is relatively new to the scene but have impressed with their up-tempo, bouncy, and retro inspired remixes of songs like disco favorite ‘September’, and the oft-covered George Michael track ‘Careless Whisper’. Here, the pair up the tempo on the silky-smooth, groovy original and emphasize the blaring horns (courtesy of Ludwig), to give the song a funkier feel. Rad Stereo previously remixed Capital Cities’ ‘One Minute More’, which was featured on the track’s Official Remix EP, and once again the combination of the two groups’ sounds make for a superior track. Prominent on the original Outkast song, Ludwig’s trumpet blares here and perfectly punctuates the bouncy but smooth vibe.
