The recent snubbing of ‘mainstage music’ by electronic’s underground hasn’t gone unnoticed in recent months. Seth Troxler‘s bashing of Steve Aoki seems to only be the tip of the iceberg. The media seems more than comfortable with the mainstream’s silent, disingenuous, non-existent response. Floridian DJ and producer, Henry Fong, is taking a stand against the trash talking, and suggests that “you’re just wasting your time”, trying to compare popular EDM to underground.
Fong has a growing presence in dance music culture. Not every producer or DJ needs to gain popularity in the underground before moving to the main stage. He’s proof that it’s possible to rise through the mainstream. Check out his full statement below:
