Armin van Buuren Premieres Old-School Trance Production From Gaia Side Project

Armin

Gaia – Carnation

Trance legend Armin van Buuren has been quite the busy man lately, as he has been releasing tunes under 3 different names. Rising Star was his little known alias that dates all the way back to 1999. Armin released a new track titled, “Safe Inside You” under this project just a month ago. Around the same time, he also found time to release “In Principio” with Rank 1’s Benno de Goeij through their collaborative project Gaia. On top of this work with his side projects, Armin has still found time to release standout singles such as “Panta Rhei” and “Together (In A State of Trance).” Today, Armin is back with a brand new Gaia track he premiered as A State Of Trance’s “Tune of the Week.”

“Carnation” begins with a quietly gorgeous trance melody that slowly but surely picks up steam. The song comes to life with explosive synth play that stays true to it’s euphoric melody. “Carnation” is sure to please all the Gaia fans that have appreciated the duo’s recent work. The emotional, yet progressive, feel to the track is reminiscent of the project’s other releases such as “In Principio” and “Empire of Hearts.” The song’s release highlights a shift in the direction Armin’s career seems to be taking. It seems as if he is dedicating more of his time to return to his roots by releasing more tracks under his “pure” trance aliases. Check out the track below and you can buy it here along with the rest of the A State of Trance 2015 album.
