Grum’s “Sunday Blue Sky” Gets Us Ready for Summer

Grum – Sunday Blue Sky

Grum does it again. Being a regular feature on Above & Beyond’s ‘Group Therapy’ radio show as well as tagging along with them on the European leg of their ‘We Are All We Need Tour’, I’m sure whoever had attended has glimmered a listen to this new track in his sets.

“Sunday Blue Sky” is “something a little bit different” according to the description. After a slew of club-inspired remixes that include Secondcity, Gareth Emery, Steve Angello and Jax Jones, Grum again takes it down a notch like he did with his single “Touch”. With an explicitly simple bass progression lingering in the background, Grum finds a way (again) to bring together an impressive array of elements to leave the listener basking in the aural awesomeness of this concoction of a track. Sprinkled throughout, the verse ‘under Sunday skies’ makes it easy to envision Summer is right around the corner; even though according to a groundhog yesterday, we still have six more weeks of winter.

Still going strong after his Essential Mix debut outing eight months ago, Grum continues to rise as one of the premier artists in the electronic scene; not blinking twice when it comes to genre mashing and outside-the-box sounds.
