Hedegaard ft. Lukas Graham – Happy Home (Sam Feldt Remix)
2014 was a huge year for tropical house, as it turned little known artists like Kygo and Thomas Jack into household names. Another artist to ride this wave of popularity was Sam Feldt, who turned his tropical formula into a deal with Spinnin’ Records and a bolstered fan base. Feldt ended 2014 on a hot streak, with a bunch of great remixes such as his take on the Sander van Doorn collaboration with Firebeatz, “Guitar Track“. Today, Feldt kept the ball rolling into 2015 by surprising his fans with a brand new remix of Hedegaard‘s track, “Happy Home“.
Feldt’s remix begins with a calm, rhythmic introduction, lulling the listener into a happy, soothing atmosphere. Lukas Graham‘s vocals then come in, as he croons about the passing of his father and the healing power of music. Feldt complements these vocals nicely, as he utilizes happy tropical beats to mesh with the message of the song. As the title suggests, the song evokes a carefree feeling, allowing the listener to get lost in the nostalgic environment the young producer so delicately crafts. The song stays consistent with the distinctive sound Sam Feldt has come to be known for, complete with the summer vibes that come with it.
