Say what you will: Alesso‘s anthem “Heroes (We Could Be)” is definitely a track with legs. Since its official release last August, everyone from Amtrac, Branchez, Hard Rock Sofa & Skidka and Jai Wolf has put their spin on the Swedish star’s sweet, sentimental original.
After the release of the official remix package in December, we welcome a new interpretation from the boys of Basic Tape.  A few weeks ago Alesso’s team reached out to the up-and-coming French electronic duo and asked them for their take.  Sav and Ben succeeded in bringing a fresh sound for the new year, infusing the soulful melody with some serious funk.  With the undeniable vitality of the Basic Tape remix,  the single’s shelf life has been extended indefinitely.  The guys started Basic Tape last year and they’ve already made serious strides in the music community, catching attention with their remixes as well as their collaboration with Mozambo featuring Julia Church, “Bright Side.”  As we look forward to more from Basic Tape, chill out to their remix of “Heroes” below!
