3LAU and Nom De Strip Team Up for a Classic Leaning Track, The Night

Hoping to start 2015 off with a Bang, young gun 3LAU hooked up with Nom de Strip and British singer Estelle for his return to Revealed Recordings in this revamp of a 1990’s techno classic. More than 20 years since its release, this trio has infused Corona’s 1993 hit “Rhythm of the Night” with some modern dance flare, transforming it into “The Night.”

The American producers mimicked the original techno rhythm with fresh instruments and paired them with Estelle’s cover of the vocals that propel this 90s tune straight into the future. Perhaps 3LAU and the gang were trying to capitalize on the news that Darude’s Sandstorm is back in the charts—15 years after its release. The dance world may now ready for more classic revivals, and “The Night” fits the bill. You can check out the preview below, which will surely have you singing along and remember the days when techno ruled the dance world. Make sure to pick up a copy for yourself on January 12th!
