Kill The Noise Joins Wiz Khalifa For ‘Ninja Turtles’ Rap-Dubstep Soundtrack

EDM heavyweight, Kill the Noise recently teamed up with hip-hop icons Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and Ty Dolla $ign for their new collaboration, “Shell Shocked”, which is set to appearĀ on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie’s soundtrack, hitting theaters on August 8th. The four artists teamed up to pay musical homage to the iconic crime fightingĀ foursome, of which most of us here at Tunes are quite familiar with during our childhood’s Saturday mornings. The verses are smartly laced with references to the Ninja Turtles and some of its classic imagery, like pizza, face bandannas, nunchucks and turtle shells. Not only do the verses in the track make various references to TMNT and its characters, but they also captures the themes of brotherhood and unity, creating a more than perfect fit for the movie’s soundtrack. Kill the Noise did his part by providing just the right amount of dubĀ and in-your-faceĀ hard hitting production style to capture the feel of high-action TMNT crime fighting. His smart mix of hip-hop high hats, bass that slaps and grimy dubstep sounds provides the perfect avenue to bring this revamped remake of TMNT into the forefront of current pop culture.
