James Blake Debuts Brand New Tune On BBC Radio 1

James Blake

Anticipation for James Blake’s third album continues to build as the English producer debuts a brand new track on BBC Radio 1. This past Wednesday, Blake premiered a dark and menacing piece of electronica on Jamie xx’s show. Yet to be named, the track features brooding samples and glitch-y synth patterns that are as startling as they are immersive.

This piece of music is one of few details that fans have received about the new album. This past June, Blake revealed to Billboard that the writing process for this new album has been “more focused” than ever before and he’s had more “freedom to do his own thing”. The English producer also mentioned that his third record was about “50 percent done” and that he’s collaborated with some coveted artists. “There’s people that I’ve been talking to for a while, (Justin Vernon/Kanye West) who so far we haven’t really linked up… but recently we have”. Blake then adds, “… but it’s hard to say what will end up on the record. It’s exciting times.” If this new track is any indication, the new album scheduled to release early 2015 should be rather exciting indeed.
