Last week Bontan was featured on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Stars’, and described his sounds in three words: groove, bass, and jack. His releases have been nothing but fire, and this latest release is no different. Bontan has teamed up with Sonny Fodera, a fellow UK producer and DJ, and together they produced a track that strikes a middle ground between underground tech and deep house. They execute the fundamentals to perfection and refuse to let a single detail slip. The bassline is simple and deep and the percussion couldn’t be any crisper; the instrumental of this would have been plenty but the addition of some soulful vocals and looping make it that much more immersive. ‘Reach Out’ is out now on Beatport on Cajual Records below.
