Earlier this year, Justin Oh’s “City Lights” got airplay during Above and Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio episode 58, and now 17-year-old French producer Matt Fax has given the song his own makeover. It should be no surprise for Fax to take inspiration from the widely popular, respected radio show, as he has also been featured on ABGT; in fact, he is the youngest artist to be featured on it. As for “City Lights,” Fax drives a much deeper tone into the song by removing the upbeat cymbal tap motif and highlighting a melodic bassline that reverberates a new found, warmer texture.
