Bat For Lashes – Laura (Mark Knight & Graffiti on Mars Remix)

For the 200th hallmark episode of the Toolroom Knights Radio Show, Mark Knight premiered a world exclusive: a collaborative remix of “Laura” by Bat For Lashes. The lead single off of Bat for Lashes third artist album was remixed by Graffiti on Mars over a year ago giving the somber original an energetic perspective by adding some house flare. Teaming up with Mark Knight, the pair have turned down the lights and turned up the drama. The short preview features a punchy main riff and hypnotically space like bass line. The main attraction is the brilliant isolation of Natasha Khan’s ghostly vocals and piano in the bridge which lead smoothly back to the house elements making this one perfect for a dark, smokey dance floor. The preview will have to suffice as there is no information on a release date.
