Andre Lodemann – Feeling Good

Berliner Andre Lodemann has been making waves in the deep house scene for several years now with his slower, melodic and futuristic brand of the genre. His “Unkown Desire” is a personal favourite, its jazzy and swingy but still very much grounded in house music, moving a lot of feet last year when dropped in sets.

Shortly after, Lodemann followed up with his Imagine/Eyes Wide Open EP, which continued to express his unique take on the genre. This February will see Andre releasing his first EP of the year, titled Coming your Way, and as a treat he’s uploaded what sounds like the b side to that release in “Feeling Good” to his sound-cloud, and as expected, it’s a delicate little piece of deep house. Although quite minimal in nature, “Feeling good” by no means overstays its run time, as Lodemann adds and subtracts elements carefully, combining vocal edits with soft synths and a beautifully warm bass line. Towards the end of the track, the Berliner introduces well placed classical sounding piano keys and droplets of melody, adding to the tracks theme of soulful contentedness.
