Steve Aoki Sets Up Charity for Philippines Relief

We had previously written before about the event “DJs for the Philippines,” and now, another well-known DJ is calling fans for help to raise money. Steve Aoki posted on his Instagram account to announce that he is raising money for the devastation that the Philippines is dealing with after Typhoon Haiyan struck in November.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by Typhoon Haiyan. For my 36th birthday, I will be matching up to $36,000 in donation to Music for Relief for Typhoon Haiyan Relief. And whoever donates or raises the most money with me, will win a trip to my show on New Year’s Eve in Cancun, Mexico. Together, let’s bring $72,000 in aid to the Philippines.
