The massive collaboration that brought together two very different artists, Steve Aoki and Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington from the rock band Linkin Park, was finally played live for the first time on national television last night. Jimmy Kimmel, known to break barriers in late night television with innovative comedy skits and viral videos, brought the three together to perform their single “A Light That Never Comes.” With Aoki DJing and Shinoda and Bennington singing and rapping, the three are a force to be reckoned with. It’s not often that the musical guest for a talk show is an EDM artist, are we going to see a trend from now on? It’ll certainly boost ticket sales if fans see that along with watching their favorite television host, they get a nice little EDM show out of it.
