ABGT 050 was a monumental event for the dance music world to say the least, and fresh, high quality versions of tracks premiered at the show are slowly but surely flowing in with each passing day. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Above & Beyond released a fair amount of new content during their set, one of them being their very own brand new track, Mariana Trench. The track was a definitee crowd pleaser at the completely sold out Ally Pally, as it veered the huge audience into a more trance like state of mind. A higher quality version was uploaded yesterday to the trio’s YouTube page, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. ‘Mariana Trench’ is indeed a more simple trance offering than most of the tracks from Above & Beyond’s most recent album,
Group Therapy. Instead, the tune reminds us more of their early to mid 2000s productions, focusing more on elongated build-ups, powerful piano riffs, and a euphoric, traditional release. Without a doubt a solid offering from Tony, Paavo, and Jono, and it should go without saying that we simply cannot wait for more. Enjoy.
