“I see it as a start of a revolution, feel that in the darkness I’ll be safe,” sings the chorus of
I See Monsta’s new single, “Evolution”. And indeed it is. The UK trio formerly known as just
Monsta have changed their name and their whole take on producing DnB / house originals. With an enchanting build-up and a hard-hitting vocal chorus, “Evolution” is going to sound great on the dance floor, and maybe in some future remixes. The track is a powerful follow-up to this year’s
“Messiah”, which was remixed by both
Dirty South and
Feed Me.
As for the name change? I See Monstas explains on their Facebook page: “This is something we have wanted to do for a while now as we wanted to make our name less about us (as in, who is MONSTA?) and more external and about how we see things, in life, music and everything really.” Sounds like a beautiful evolution.
