Madeon is taking a new track old-school, releasing “Technicolor” as a limited edition 12″ vinyl. In addition to the hard copy, he’s also including FLAC files of both the original mix and DJ edit for immediate download at no extra cost. Unlike MP3s and other audio files, FLAC files are “losslessly compressed” so that file size is reduced while retaining most of the quality of the original recording. So even if you don’t have a turntable to play the hard record, you can still get the same high-quality sound. And if you do have a record player, kudos to you.
