Swedish power house producer John Dahlbäck has exploded back onto the EDM scene with “We Were Gods,” featuring Urban Cone and Lucas Nord. Having already collaborated with Urban Cone and Lucas Nord a year ago on “Embrace Me,” there is no doubt that these artists mesh perfectly together. The tender vocals and melodic piano riffs are infused with hard synths and robust, nearly robotic, synth creations. The song keeps an upbeat feel throughout, but the heavier sounds add a lot of necessary depth. With lyrics that will make you feel euphoric and put you in a happy place, “We Were Gods” delivers on many different levels. The whole version should be expected on Beatport Sept. 13th and iTunes Oct. 1st.
