Daft Punk Set to Make TV Appearance on ‘Colbert Report’

It has been confirmed. Daft Punk’ will make their first TV appearance since the release of Random Access Memories three months ago in May. They will appear on “The Colbert Report” on Tuesday, August 6, as part of the “Colbchella” series. Earlier this week on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” Colbert teased the appearance when he grooved his way over to his desk while “Get Lucky” played. “I don’t know what just happened,” Fallon said when the song stopped playing. We aren’t sure what songs are expected to be performed but it has also been confirmed that Pharrell and Nile Rodgers will also appear on the show. Past “Colbchella” events, featured artists Santigold, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine and Talib Kweli. The promo image for this year’s event is below.
