German heavyweight André Tanneberger, better known by his stage name ATB, has been producing dance hits for as long as most electronic dance music fans can remember. Arguably his most popular track, ‘Ecstasy’, was released back on October 5, 2004 off of the album No Silence and has been one of the most iconic dance songs to date. ‘Ecstasy’ encompasses everything that a classic trance production should: Tiff Lacey’s crisp uplifting vocals accompanied by an elegant piano melody along with an immaculate layering of sounds. ATB was able to bring together these elements with delicate synths and a smooth trance beat which ultimately, within a couple of years, brought the semi-underground trance scene to the focal point of mainstream popularity.
