Fans of Cosmic Gate must all be too familiar with the track, Crushed, which was released in 2012 and has easily become a set-request standing order for crowds at any Cosmic Gate gigs. Simply put – it is always a tall order for any producers to take a stab at putting together a good remix for already established tracks in the market which fans have already become accustomed to.
Mark Sixma from the town of Breda, the hometown which breeds the likes of Tiesto, W&W and R3hab, was definitely up for such challenge. With tracks such as Rio and Requiem already under his belt (Requiem was a no.1 at the Trance Beatport chart), this rework of Crushed gives the track some fresh and newfound energy and transformed Crushed from a euphoric and melodic track to one with striking big room percussion lead-ins and drops. This remix is definitely one not to be missed.
