Release: Phonat – Identity Theft EP (OWSLA)

OWSLA, the record label owned by the mighty Sonny Moore famously known as Skrillex, has many talented artists on its roster such as Dillon Francis, Kill The Noise, Koan Sound, Monsta, Porter Robinson, Skream and many others, but the one artist that’s the most underrated artist on the OWSLA label (according to Skrillex himself) would be Phonat.  His debut album titled ‘Phonat’ was critically acclaimed as a genre defining album. He’s known  to combine a range of sounds in his music, including D&B, Nu Disco, Trip Hop, Funk, Electro, Rock and more.

Phonat is back with a spectacular album titled ‘Identity Theft’ which includes Six tracks, all of which you cannot miss. He manages to retain his individualistic style, while experimenting with a galore of different sounds all which make the EP feel like a breath of fresh air. Each song manages to put you in a mesmerized and completely calm and magical zone, using a multitude of elements including Electronica, Dubstep, ChillStep, Deep house among others.  You really need to check this out.
