Indeed, it is the time of the year for tons of releases of summery, euphoria-inducing festival anthems…and last weekend Pete Tong premiered one of those that are sure to be making their way through the Electric Skies to your ears via producers Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont (aka Stuart Price) and Malin Dahlström of Niki & the Dove.
This uplifting, yet at-times almost melancholy-undertoned, track has a certain 80’s feel to my ears (which I am seeing a pattern of infusion into many current releases as of late – and I find it exciting…I mean New Wave was massive to the forming of electronic music today). The track features nice, smooth progressions taking you on a variety of emotive turns, while eventually unleashing all that euphoria that built up within you throughout your journey with the unleashing of the pulsing synths and pounding rhythm accompanied on the ride by Malin’s breathtaking vocal stylings.
