Tomorrowland Winter 2019 is Officially a Go

The rumors are true, Tomorrowland is officially set to unveil a winter edition in the French alps from March 9th to March 16 in 2019. Alpe d’Huez, which was recently named the top ski resort in Europe, will be transformed into ‘Tomorrowland Winter’ welcoming 30,000 visitors from around the world.

The inaugural winter festival’s theme, ‘The Hymn of the frozen Lotus’, promises to be yet another incredible chapter in the story of Tomorrowland. The Alpe d’Huez Grand Domain Ski area will be reserved solely for holders of Tomorrowland Winter Tickets, and guests will be able to choose either a 4-day or 7-day ticket including access to the festival, accommodation, and a lift & ski-pass.

The entirety of the ski area will be booming with the People of Tomorrow. The festival’s Mainstage will be specially built for this event and be located at the foot of the ski trails at around 2000 meters above sea level. The event will host numerous stages, the world’s best DJs, and a unique array of food and drinks promised to be served in the most unexpected locations.

The Alpe d’Huez is dubbed the ‘Île du Soleil’ (Island in the Sun) as it receives over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it the perfect location for Tomorrowland Winter.

‘With a total of 250km trails, 300 days of sun per year, a lift that climbs to an altitude of 3,300m and offers a unique panoramic view of over 1/5 of France, plus recognition as the ‘Best ski resort in Europe 2017’, and ranking in the Top 3 best European resorts since 2015… Just like Tomorrowland, the Alpe d’Huez ski area is also ‘larger-than-life’.
– Christophe Monier, general manager of SATA nv (Societé d’Amenagement Touristique de l’Alpe d’Huez et des Grandes Rousses).

‘This edition of Tomorrowland was created by our own dedicated young team in Antwerp and we will be 100 % in control of its execution. We couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate our 15th anniversary with the People of Tomorrow and we just can’t wait to welcome them to this enchanting, winter wonderland.’
– Michiel Beers, creator and organiser of Tomorrowland.

For those of you TomorrowWorld fanatics, the LiveStyle team which would handle any return for TomorrowWorld or Brazil, has no involvement in Tomorrowland Winter.
