Review Of Ephwurd’s LA Takeover

Ephwurd

On December 15, 2017, Datsik and Bais Haus, collectively known as Ephwurd, took over the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles for a night full of raging tunes and fun. The duo is topping off a monumental year full of major festival appearances and shows.

Ephwurd brought along rising artists Luca Lush, Whipped Cream, and JVMPKICKS to open the show. JVMPKICKS got the crowd moving and shuffling from the get-go with a bumping bass house set. Whipped Cream went hard playing a mix of trap, dubstep, and house. And of course, the famously blue-haired Luca Lush threw down a fun set as always.

Ephwurd really sealed the deal on a fantastic night, though. Their high-energy set included tons of great music alongside some amazing visuals. Their track selection was phenomenal, featuring a lot of the crazy house music they’re known for, but also some heavier tracks and even future bass. They clearly put a lot of thought and craft into their live sets and have a lot of fun with it. And the crowd was loving it.

Since their inception in 2015, Ephwurd has been going non-stop and we’re excited to see what 2018 has in store for them. Surely they’ll be adorning festival lineups throughout the year so keep your eyes peeled if they’re coming near you. You’ll surely have a great time.
