Since teasing ‘World Gone Crazy’, ‘Rise’, and ‘Communication Breakdown’, The Russ Liquid Test finally releases the full 7-track World Gone Crazy EP. The EP is a conglomeration of musical styles from hip hop to drum and bass to soul music with a diverse utilization of live and digital instruments.
The title track ‘World Gone Crazy’ is not only energetic in its delivery of instrumentation but also provides social commentary with ProbCause’s politically conscious rap lyrics. ‘OMOP’ and ‘Ruckus’–the EP’s beginning and ending tracks–exemplify Russ Liquid’s ability to stay true to New Orleans traditional music style while blending in the progressive capabilities that electronic production has to offer.
