Watch Blink-182 Perform at Steve Aoki’s 40th Birthday Party

What’s my age again? Today, Steve Aoki turns the big 40, and we have a feeling he’ll be asking himself this question a lot more as the years go on.

To celebrate this big milestone, Aoki hosted a small get together with his closest family and friends at billionaire Ron Burkle‘s famed Greenacres estate in Beverly Hills. However, he turned the occasion into an opportunity raise money for his Aoki Foundation, which goes towards brain science research and regenerative medicine. The small living room bash featured a guest list including Tara Reid, Fred Durst, Akon, and even Kaskade. The shindig saw performances from T-Pain, as well as the pop-punk trio, Blink-182, who delivered an acoustic rendition of ‘What’s My Age Again?’ They raised $500,000 during the party through an auction for the foundation, with the host contributing $50,000 himself to the cause.

In a video posted by TMZ, Blink-182 is seen performing an unplugged version of their 1999 smash, ‘What’s My Age Again?’ to an intimate crowd. Singer Mark Hoppus changes the famous chorus from ‘Nobody likes you when you’re 23’ to ‘Nobody likes you when you’re 40, Steve’. The band has a history with Aoki, as he remixed ‘Bored to Death’ for the group last year. Aoki has also previously collaborated with drummer, Travis Barker on a remix of ‘Push ‘Em’, with Yelawolf.

Blink-182 and Steve Aoki are both known for their live performances to crazy, loud, and sold-out crowds, so being able to see the band unplug in a living room with only about 100 others is honestly a sight to see.

Strangely enough, there is no cake thrown in the video.
