A$AP Ferg – East Coast (YehMe2 & Whipped Cream Remix)
One of trap’s most established artists and one of trap’s most promising up-and-comers have teamed up to remix the iconic ‘East Coast’ by A$AP Ferg.
YehMe2, real name Josh Young and formerly one half of Flosstradamus, and Whipped Cream, real name Carolina Cecil, put out a certified club-ready banger out. The remix already starts out with a strong trap beat featuring repetitive hi-hats until you hear Ferg spit the iconic line “call me East Coast m*therf*cker,” which leads into a banging and bouncy trap drop featuring vocal chops.
Young decided to part ways with the OG trap powerhouse Flosstradamus last year and has been putting out impressive originals and remixes under the moniker YehMe2 ever since. His loyal fanbase followed him through the transition and he threw down a wonderful set at Hard Summer last year for his debut performance. The decision to split from Flosstradamus seems to have helped Young in flourishing his own sound and capabilities.
Whipped Cream is one of the most talked about producers in the underground trap scene currently. Another amazing Canadian producer, Cecil has cultivated a loyal fanbase due to her high-energy and diverse sets, as well as her prolific catalog of unique originals and remixes. In her sets, she weaves together several genres such as trap, house, and dubstep like it’s nothing. She also had a breakout year playing Hard Summer, releasing an official mix for them. Cecil recently released the amazing Persistence EP, proving she’s here to make a statement. Keep your eyes peeled on her as she’s poised to blow up any day now.
This remix is sure to pop up in your favorite trap DJs sets any day now. Listen to the remix below, with a link to download it.
