Woman Is Suing After Being Hit By Car and Dragged Behind It At Imagine Festival
We recently got word that a woman filed suit against Imagine Music Festival, Atlanta Motor Speedway and a variety of other companies stating that she was run over and dragged by a worker’s car on site at the festival back in 2016. Suzanne Randall was lounging with others on the ground at the annual electronic music festival when the driver behind a 2013 Chevy Equinox drove through striking her and another woman according to the lawsuit. The unfortunate event occurred around 1 a.m. in an area where other people were also congregating on the ground. The reported driver was working for Windpouch, which makes and sells hammocks as one of the festival’s many vendors.
“He then backed up after festival goers began yelling at him to do so,” the suit, filed in DeKalb County State Court, says. “While backing up, he dragged Ms. Randall for some distance with his vehicle.”
A music festival rep declined to comment on the suit, as did one for the speedway. The other defendants, including 1 Alliance Security Group and Consulting, Big Boy Security and Windpouch also didn’t respond immediately for comment. Randall sustained a broken pelvis and “many other injuries and painful abrasions,” the suit states, adding that she “was forced to learn how to walk again” after spending five days in the hospital.
